My favorite class I've taken at Albion is interpersonal and family communication with Doctor Karen Erlandson. It was all about how people communicate through verbals and nonverbal and why, which is a super interesting topic to me. It was also a two hour class but it never felt like it because Erlandson always kept the class entertaining by having tons of examples from her own personal stories or video clips from movies and tv shows.
I had narrowed my decision down to two schools. I knew I wanted to go to a small school because I wanted to know my professors, know my classmates, and I feared I’d fall through the cracks at a large school. I visited both schools several times planning to play basketball at whichever I chose. Every time I was on Albion’s campus it felt like home. I loved the campus, students/staff members I met, and just the overall friendly welcoming atmosphere. I knew I did not want to transfer schools if for some reason I were to decide I no longer wanted to continue playing basketball or if I became injured and couldn’t play anymore. So, after months of debate I chose Albion because I knew that even if I could no longer play basketball there I’d still want to be there and that is exactly what happened. I came to Albion to play basketball and when I no did could I stayed because of the family I had made at Albion.
Owning franchises and eventually opening my own wood working business.
The quad because it's a great spot in the center of campus to study, hangout with friends, hammock and play games.
