I'm hoping to get a master's degree after Albion. After grad school, I want to become a lobbyist so that I can fight for the changes and policies that I want to see happening in our country. My dream is to work in Washington D.C., some day. Aside from my career goals, I can't wait to get married and adopt a lot of rescue dogs once I'm done with all my schooling.
My mom was a Brit, so Albion College has always been my dream school. After going on my first official visit when I was a sophomore in high school, I fell in love with it. Albion felt like a home to me from day one and I was treated as if I was already a student. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming - my admissions counselor was always reaching out to me and making sure all my questions were answered and needs were met before I even committed to the school. Because of this, Albion stood out among my other options and I knew it was the only place for me.
My favorite place at Albion is the Kellogg Center (or the KC as we call it on campus.) I love everything about it, from the bookstore on the first floor where I can shop for new apparel, to the Eat Shop on the second floor where I can satisfy my mozzarella stick cravings, to the soundproof fourth floor, where I can settle down and study, of course while taking occasional breaks to stare out the huge window at the view of Albion. It's the BEST place to watch a beautiful sunset.
So far, my favorite class has been my Intro to Public Service class. It's a class I took through the Ford Institute and I enjoyed it not only because it was held in our brand new Ludington Center building downtown, but because I got to discuss hot topics in public policy every day with my classmates and professors. I learned a lot in that class and took part in multiple hands-on experiences throughout the semester.
